If, like most people, your closet can’t hold your entire wardrobe, you’ll need to switch out items as the seasons change. Here’s how to store, and un-store, your clothes and linens.
Bring on the bins.
Large, transparent, stackable plastic bins are inexpensive and practical for storing clothes. Try adding a Downy Dryer Sheet to each bin to help keep clothes fresh.
Wash before storing.
Before storing, wash and dry clothes thoroughly—you wouldn’t want to pack away clothes with food or other stains. When you wash, add Downy® Fabric Conditioner so clothes are soft and fresh when you unpack.
Pack clothes heavy-to-light
For easier unpacking, place heavier items on the bottom of the bins like big sweaters and coats. Then, layer in lightweight sweaters and knits, rolling rather than folding them to prevent wrinkling. Top off with socks and tights.
